    Xact Data Discovery has an immediate opening for an experienced Human Resources Generalist in our corporate office in Mission, KS.

     

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting all employees in the company.  This position has responsibility for benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, documentation/recordkeeping, HRIS administration and management, affirmative action and employment law compliance. 

     

    Success in this role requires a broad knowledge of HR topics and the ability to juggle various tasks with accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.  Top candidates will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high aptitude for problem solving, and display meticulous attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with all internal and external HR related matters
    • Liaise with external partners including insurance brokers, vendors, and HR consultants
    • Respond to employee inquiries about employment and HR related issues; provide support and resolve issues when necessary
    • Handle employee relations including developing, communicating, and monitoring performance improvement plans; and conduct exit interviews
    • Recruitment for all permanent personnel; assist business unit leaders in recruiting efforts for temporary personnel; write and place job advertisements; execute a professional and structured recruitment and hiring process
    • Handle all administrative tasks and generally facilitate a smooth new hire process including planning, scheduling and coordinating across departments to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience
    • Manage and maintain the applicant tracking system
    • Managed and maintain the HRIS; compile reports as needed to support organizational needs
    • Assist with administering the 401k plan and facilitate the annual plan audit; provide support and reporting to investment committee; ensure 5500 filing compliance
    • Perform benefits administration including change reporting, invoice auditing, and communication of benefit information to employees
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations
    • Develop and maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1 reports; maintain records and logs in support of EEO compliance
    • Assist in the development and implementation of employment and HR policies and procedures; communicate policies and procedures to employees; maintain library of policies and procedures
    • Assist in administering the compensation program; monitor, evaluate, and revise as necessary
    • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance review process
    • Be the primary back up for payroll processing including updates to employee files, compensation adjustments, tracking of paid and unpaid time off, importing reimbursements, facilitating garnishments, verifying time cards, and auditing voluntary and statutory deductions for accuracy
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or title of similar responsibility
    • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
    • Good knowledge of HR, payroll and employment laws
    • Good knowledge of the ACA
    • Familiarity with HRIS and Payroll systems
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • High aptitude for problem solving
    • Strong critical thinking skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Highly computer literate with strong MS Office skills, particularly Outlook
    • A resourceful, problem-solving attitude
    • Ability to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
    • Have intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn
    • Be flexible, agile, and able to maintain a positive attitude

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
